Open download list I got on HP's website and I believe I installed the proper drivers. The first sent me to a link that did not help with anything. So I've established the problem does not lie with the remotes or IR connection, but possibly the driver that interprets the additional keys on the remotes is at fault?

Hi, Does this have a driver installed? HP encountered an error while trying to scan your product. I did not have this problem when dv900 first got my laptop. It doesn't work, and it might cause your laptop crashing. Did anyone find an answer to this issue?

I'm having close to the same problem but with my dv4t remote. I chatted rmote two people from HP. And finally i sent it to the service.

Somethings screwed up here. Email list of drivers. It still does not work. And have you made sure you are pointing the remote at the IR reciever on the laptop? Actualicen la BIOS y se soluciona el problema!!!!!!!!! HP techs are just sending out new express card remote controls or sending out np box to return hpp repair which I know means they will wipe out my notebook and reinstall everything--not good.
